why can some people recall childhood memories and others cant?

Mimi asked:

Why can some people remember many vivid details of their childhood (after the age of three) but have very few memories? Have researchers discovered any differences between people who have many childhood memories and those who have very few?

Does anyone know any research articles that go into detail about this?
thanks :)

I would search for articles on childhood trauma and memory.

I’ve heard at least one theory that the suppression of childhood trauma will also inhibit recall of other childhood memories.

First one should make a call. If they do not want to spend and make a single call, how can they get a recall back.
