It is so nice to be wanted !
Sit your loved one down and explain the problem, tell him that both your families want your company and as it is the first year together it is not wise to upset either of them, then suggest that may be you could share the time between the two families, it is a tough issue that it is going to present itself over and over, so it may be a good idea to make ground rules early on about were to spent what were, so every one knows the rules and there Will be no future upsets or problems.
