How to address a wedding invite for a family?
morgan asked:
How would I go about addressing a wedding invitation for my friend and her family? Would I just write Miss Jane Smith* and family? Thanks!

If she is married, you should find out the name of her husband and address it to both of them + family.

Jesus
Who do you mean by family? Her and her parents? Or her, her husband and their kids?
If it’s her and her parents, you send the invitations separately.
If it’s her, her husband and their kids, you address the invitation:
Mr and Mrs. John Doe and family
And then you write the name of all invited on the inside envelope.

Assuming that you mean your friend, husband and children…
Mr. and Mrs. John Doe and Family on the outer envelope. On the inner envelop you could then write Mr. and Mrs. Doe, Sarah, Jane and Paul
If you friend is single:
Ms. Jane Doe and Family on the outer envelope. On the inner envelope you could then write Ms. Jane Doe and Guest, Sarah, Jane and Paul. This would let her know that she is free to bring a guest to accompany her.
If you are talking about your friend and her parents…you would send your friend her invitation and her parents a separate invitation.
Hope that helps! Good luck!
