What is family housing on college campus?

I recently had asked a question and it I mentioned I was pregnant and planning on attending college. ( I am 18.) A lot of people mentioned family housing on campus but I have never heard of it and I am curious to what it is and what I have to do to be able to move into it? Also if it would be cheaper to just get my own place?

I don’t know what school you are planning on going to but at mine, we have family housing and they are basically like little houses. I think here it is around 300 a month and you do have your own little house/apartment so it is pretty cheap. However, there is a long wait list I think. I would really recommend looking into it because from what I have heard, it is a good resource and living close to campus does have it’s advantages. This website might also help out:
