It could be prevented, most teens I’m sure wouldn’t want to be parents. But, sometimes it works out for the better. Not all the time.
But htose who do stick with it Kudos to you.

I don’t care what people think and what they are capable, so I will speak my mind. I think teenagers aren’t doing themselves a favor. I am not saying a child/sex/birth isn’t beautiful but it is unnecessary at that moment in life; almost selfish. Some teenagers are too young and can’t pay for the baby, so who is? The parents, possibly ones who are already suffering with financial issues. Not everyone cares about school, but if you want a good job/make your dream come true, then school would help a lot. Having a kid is only going to take away more from that responsibility.
People say that younger girls back then got pregnant all the time, but the difference now is that we know it isn’t exactly right, but we do it anyways.
I will get thumbs down for this, but oh well.

i’m a teen mom. currently 19 – got pregnant at 17 had the baby at 18.
where i’m from seeing a teenage mother is an everyday occurrence. it seems girls from around here are getting pregnant on purpose. in fact – i know some of them are. ( not saying i agree with this )
I feel that age does not dictate the type of parent you are; maturity does.. all i have to say is accidents happen.i **** hearing people say THOSE IDIOTS RUIN THEIR LIVES seriously? you think we don’t know that our lives are drastically changed? instead of sitting there and bashing teen mothers, step in their shoes. we stepped up. who took responsibility for our actions, we could have taken the easy way out, and had an abortion, but of course we’d get crap for that too wouldn’t we? so of course the only logic thing to say then is, close your damn legs. but lets look at the facts, it’s too late to close our legs now isn’t it? i’m not saying that i want everyone to be pro teen parenting. but i’m asking that everyone recognize that we’re taking responsibility for our actions, and we’re doing the best we can. we struggle, everyday. you dont need to remind us, we know.
anyways, my daughter is happy and healthy and very very loved. im in university making something of myself, and my boyfriend (her father) is out of collage, and became a welder. we’re not on welfare, we dont ditch our child on our parents so we can go out and get drunk every weekend, we dont make our parents suffer our consequences. we love our child more than anything in the world. she’s not a mistake, she’s a miracle.
